Long after that [that] Is the sentence grammatically correct? Is 'It wasn't long after that..." commonly said? It wasn't long after that he passed away. It wasn't long after that that he passed away. Do you say "long after [my birthday = THAT] that he passed away" or "long after that he passed away."
