If the sentence is negated, the meaning of it is changed accordingly. However, some verbs are resistant to this. For example, 'think' as in, I do not think that she came = I think that she did not come. A brief explanation so far is what I found in the grammar book. And a list of verbs is provided which act the same as think: believe, feel, intend.... But I cannot think of any example containing 'intend'. What meaning of intend is appropriate for this phenomenon and would you give an example sentence?
