Hi everyone, I was just writing a piece of dialogue and I stumbled on this problem: Should the following be... Child: You always nag me to clean my room! Mother: When do I ever nag you to clean your room? OR Mother: When *have I ever nagged" you to clean your room? To me, both seem to make sense, and both, in my experience are used widely. Is there any discernible difference between the two? Thanks in advance, Peter
