Dear all, In this sentence, which i found in the oxford dictionary, how would you classify the clause in bold? She lost her job when the factory closed, along with hundreds of others . I'm reticent to call it a subordinate clause as it has no verb. Some kind of parenthetic expression maybe? An adjectival parenthetic expression modifying "She"? Help in clarifying this would be sincerely appreciated! Thanks in advance, Jim
