When do you use "Having"?

A. "He was busy reading a newspaper" B. "He was busy having read a newspaper" A. "He denied owning money to them" B. "He denied having owned money to them" I assume that the A ones refer to the plain past tense. Does the B ones refer to "Past Perfect" or "Past Perfect Continuous" then? Thank you
